Question by mingitup: Should I buy a heat pump from Sears?
My 15 year old 3 ton heat pump crapped out. I’ve gotten several estimates for new systems that are quite high (over 8k). I’m having someone from Sears come tomorrow to give me an estimate but I’ve read that their service quality is bad. Is this true?

Sounds in line with the prices you already have.
Service is so important after the sale and how well it’s installed is most important.
Dont go by price alone because you usually get what you pay for unless someone is just trying to rip you off.
Not sure about Sears but I think everything is subbed out to some contractor and that may be the problem with them. Too many people to go through to get service.
